Choreographing is done for several
good reasons: firstly, health and safety, which must be
of prime importance in all fights - the fight arranger
knows the safe space needed for the fight, and how the
weapons and the fight move around the set, which
keeps dangers to the crew, and other personnel on set,
to a minimum; secondly, the crew can start the fight
from any point in the routine if required, they can also
repeat the fight sequence any number of times from any
angle; and finally, as the fighters do not have to worry
about the moves required, they are free to "act" as
directed. |
